Bob Frause

As one of three Fundraising Partners Northwest founders, Bob Frause brings clients more than 30 years of development, communications and marketing experience.
Bob’s fundraising and development career includes leadership roles as director of development and communications for Seattle University, and executive director of the Economic Development Council of Puget Sound. Additional fundraising support and corporate citizenship consulting engagements include Seafirst Bank; McCarthy Construction; Odyssey, The Maritime Discovery Center; Eastside Catholic High School; Northwest Maritime Center; Seattle Audubon Society; Chevron USA; The Edgewater Hotel; Schnitzer Northwest; Metzler North America and others.
Bob has been a board member and actively engaged in the fundraising campaigns of several regional nonprofit organizations, including Friends of King Street Station, Seattle Center Foundation, Seattle-King County Emergency Housing Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Washington and the American Cancer Society of Washington.
Career highlights include senior management and ownership positions with Hill and Knowlton Public Relations, DDB Advertising, KNCF/Dave Advertising and Public Relations, and Commerce Publishing Corporation.
Bob is chairman and CEO of The Frause Group, a Seattle-based public relations, marketing and communications firm. Since 1998 The Frause Group has assisted more than 100 public, private and nonprofit sector clients with a variety of communications and marketing services, including fundraising campaign support.
Bob holds a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from Seattle University. He has written extensively on public relations, marketing and related topics for local and national publications, including Total Quality Environmental Management and the Puget Sound Business Journal. Bob is co-author of The Environmental Marketing Imperative (Probus, Chicago, IL). He co-founded the Washington Software Association and is vice chairman of the Public Relations Society of America’s Board of Ethics and Professional Standards.
Creativity and enthusiasm, in addition to practicality and strategic planning, are strengths Bob brings to every project. With a wealth of experience gleaned from more than three decades in fundraising, public relations, public affairs, advertising and marketing, Bob's inspired, out-of-the-box problem solving ability has earned him nationwide respect.
