Case Study: Community Health Centers of King County

Community Health Centers of King County (now known as HealthPoint) is a private, nonprofit organization that provides medical and dental services to medically underserved populations in King County. They have 12 locations throughout King County and serve 50,000 people each year who might not otherwise receive health care. In 2007, they retained FPN to raise the Take Flight! 2nd Annual Connecting with the Community Benefit Dinner to the next level. Working with the staff from Community Health Centers of King County, the FPN team produced an exciting event that met all fundraising goals by carrying out the following services:

  • Developing a comprehensive fundraising event plan to include timeline and budget
  • Identifying and securing the keynote speaker and honorary dinner chairs
  • Updating the list of potential corporate sponsors and developing a customized strategy to approach each potential sponsor
  • Developing a sponsor benefits package
  • Tracking all donor prospects and providing necessary follow-up
  • Compiling a comprehensive invitation list of individuals and community organizations
  • Managing the production of all collateral materials, such as invitations, signage and thank you letters
  • Coordinating event logistics, including vendor contract negotiations and venue details
  • Managing the RSVP process from start to finish in order to ensure an accurate record of attendees and pledges
  • Providing on-site registration management and trouble-shooting
  • Providing appropriate follow-up to collect outstanding pledges and thank event sponsors
