Case Study: Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce

Each year the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual Leadership Exchange trip in which a group of Kansas City business men and women visit a different U.S. city. The city of Seattle was host to the 2007 Exchange, and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce recommended FPN to coordinate the trip.

Working with the staff of the Kansas City Chamber, FPN planned and executed a two-day visit which highlighted Seattle’s opportunities and challenges. The agenda included events in eight very different locations with a number of elected officials and business leaders to address Kansas City guests. FPN researched and suggested potential venues, worked with the sites to manage all logistics, negotiated contracts with vendors, and provided on-site support to make sure everything came off without a hitch.

The exchange was a huge success, providing both the Seattle and Kansas City Chambers with key insights to use as they plan for the future.
