Case Study: McCain-Palin 2008

Senator John McCain

For the first time in history, the candidates for president of the United States raised more than $1 billion. FPN was part of the McCain 2008 fundraising team which raised more than $420 million nationwide, including nearly $7.6 million from Washington state.

Early in the campaign, a Washington state finance committee was assembled.  Regular communication and events facilitated by FPN kept these key supporters active and engaged during the lengthy campaign season.

Much of the fundraising success in Washington state was centered on exciting events with Senator McCain and senior staff. The events ranged from activities with young professionals to small, issue-related meetings, to large-scale fundraising receptions. In addition, an event with Mrs. Cindy McCain and Mr. Todd Palin helped provide critical last-minute contributions during the final weeks of the campaign by raising over $1 million at a luncheon in Hunts Point, WA.
