Case Study: Northwest Independent Power Producers Coalition
The Northwest Independent Power Producers Coalition (NIPPC) came to Fundraising Partners Northwest looking for expert planning for their second annual meeting. The Coalition’s goal was to grow attendance and sponsorship participation in addition to having a fun and successful meeting.
In September 2004, FPN reached that goal for NIPPC. After seven months of planning, NIPPC had a highly successful meeting. FPN was able to double attendance and increase sponsorship by 400 percent.
Success was achieved because FPN, in concert with the NIPPC board, was able to identify, solicit, coordinate and confirm more than 20 sponsors. In addition to increasing attendance and sponsor participation, FPN handled all aspects of the meeting, including site selection, transportation and travel coordination, venue negotiations and management, agenda development, meeting facilitation and participant coordination as well as meeting marketing and registration activities.
