Case Study: Premera Blue Cross - Conference

Premera Blue Cross (Premera) provides health benefits to more than 1.7 million people, with more than 1.4 million members in Washington State and 114,000 members in Alaska. As they prepared for their 2008 Alaska Health Summit, Premera looked to FPN to provide the logistical support and on-site management necessary for a successful event in Anchorage, AK. The goal of the meeting was to gather CEOs of Alaska companies, medical advisors and healthcare industry experts to create a practical, value-based strategy for direct leadership involvement in moderating healthcare costs and improving the health of Alaskans.

FPN worked with the Summit leadership to create a conference environment that was comfortable, practical and suitable for roundtable discussions. FPN also worked with the venue to make sure no detail was overlooked, including providing a healthy lunch to conference participants. In addition, FPN coordinated a pre-conference dinner to allow presenters to get to know each other prior to the conference.

Because FPN was handling all of the event details for the conference, Premera officials were able to stay focused on their goal of improving the health of Alaskans.
