Case Study: The Schuster Group – Mosler Lofts
Real estate investor and entrepreneurial developer The Schuster Group directs the acquisitions, development, and portfolio operations of various private equity real estate companies. In the fall of 2007, they hired FPN to coordinate the ribbon-cutting ceremony of their latest development, Mosler Lofts. This 12-story tower is one of Seattle’s first LEED™ certified downtown condominiums.
FPN worked with The Schuster Group to design an event that showcased the unique aspects of the project. Because the event was held outside, the ribbon-cutting ceremony required the closing of city streets and planning for potential inclement weather. FPN brought together a team of vendors to create a warm and inviting outdoor space for an event that exceed the The Schuster Group’s expectations. Specific event coordination services included:
- Establishing and maintaining a budget for the event
- Directing the invitation design and distribution process
- Generating a list of potential speakers and VIPs and securing their participation
- Coordinating audio-visual, tents, staging, décor and catering
- Coordinating city permitting process for blocking a city street
- Managing the RSVP process
- Administering the program and staging of the ceremony
- Providing an on-site team to troubleshoot any problems
